About Code.org

Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to the vision that every student has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education. We focus on increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. The leading provider of K-12 computer science curriculum in the largest school districts in the U.S., Code.org organizes the annual Hour of Code campaign. Presentation:

Tuesday, March 5, 2024 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM CST
Location: 12AB, Austin Convention Center

While some school districts have embraced AI, neither the technology companies creating the AI nor the governments regulating the AI have provided guidance on how to integrate the new tech into classrooms. This has left districts not knowing how to integrate AI safely, ethically or equitably. To help district administrators and teachers understand how to teach with and about AI, this panel of TeachAI.org founding and advisory members, including Code.org's Founder and CEO Hadi Partovi, will discuss why it is pertinent to guide government and educational leaders to align education standards with the needs of an increasingly AI-driven world.

District Program

Code.org is partnering with districts to expand access to high-quality computer science (CS) education and ensure that K-12 students are equipped to adapt to the realities of a rapidly-evolving knowledge economy.
